Work Experience

Cafe Assistant

July 2014 - December 2017

Whilst at college I started here as my first part time job, after a 6 month probation period i was left to run the front counter, preparing drinks and taking orders, I then begun training all new starters who would be working alongside me. Each morning I created the cake display that customers would purchase from, and restock throughout the day as and when needed. At the end of each month I would assist with stock take, this would ensure the correct stock is coming in at the correct time at the correct place. After working alongside my manager I started doing the orders each week, using my knowledge of what was currently selling and not selling.

Supermarket Assistant

June 2016 - present

I was responsible for branch legalities this includes opening procedures in the mornings, ensuring paperwork has been signed for and if not assigning this to a partner to be completed, thoroughly reducing and date checking of products. I am also a fully trained check out partner so I am able to quickly help out another area of the branch when needed.

For 18 months I worked on the the night team for a new challenge. I did this to give myself a better understanding of how different sections of the branch are run. I merchandise stock on both ambient and fresh, this task includes promotional ends, bold and enticing front of store displays, remerchandising seasonal events and working stock down aisles, my attention to detail enables me to complete these jobs to a high standard within the timescale allocated. I adhere to warehouse standards, reduce and do customers shopping, all these tasks are time managed. I am an established partner within the branch and currently being key holder trained so that I can be left in charge when needed, making me an asset to the team.

Currently I have been running the section layouts organising and developing a team to achieve the weeks goal. I created a spreadsheet to show all upcoming layouts that need to be completed within the branch, work out the time that is needed and input all the data required to keep it running smoothly and up to date. I deal with promotional changes/displays at the front of store and put out all of the POS for the relevant promotion.
